There is no question that breastfeeding is best for mother and baby – breast milk is full of nutrients and antibodies, which are perfect for baby’s well-being.

However, if you cannot breastfeed, for whatever reason, the new ULTIvent system gives you peace of mind as it enables you to feed your baby as naturally as possible – especially if you are using expressed breast milk.

The interaction between the new, unique super soft teat and the base valve means that the ULTIvent bottle system makes feeding harmonious – designed with your baby’s health in mind.

 

 

What is so unique about the ULTIvent bottle?

The new bottle mimics the breastfeeding process. When a baby sucks, a hormone called oxytoxin starts the milk flowing through the milk canals into the sacs and finally the baby's mouth. The unique ULTIvent teat with a texture as soft as skin, mimics mum’s shape and feel during breast feeding. This encourages your baby to use the natural rhythmic tongue and jaw movements of breast feeding called suckling. The highly sensitive valve positioned in the base of the bottle opens during feeding creating an uninterrupted, air-free flow of milk. It prevents teat collapse and eliminates the build up of bubbles in the milk. The valve and teat work in perfect harmony to provide “breast like” feeding for longer uninterrupted periods.

 

 

Why have MAM developed the ULTIvent bottle?

Babies suck until a vacuum builds up inside the bottle forcing them to release the teat and gasp for air. The vacuum build up causes bubbles in the bottle, you can see the froth. Other anti-colic  bottles have a valve in their teats at the top of the bottle. When the vacuum builds up inside the valve opens in the teat releasing air through the baby’s feed. The valve positioned in the base of the bottle regulates the air intake to ensure there is no vacuum build up.  This means baby's can suck at their own pace and the teat will not collapse forcing them to take in air unnecessarily. The valve also replaces air at the base of the bottle NOT the top so that air will not flow through baby's feeds creating bubbles in it.  The constant air intake at the base of the bottle gives an uninterrupted flow of milk for baby's - just like during breast feeding.
